In celebration of the Women’s Month, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Davao Region (BFAR 11) leads the coastal clean up along the shoreline of Brgy. Sirawan, Toril, Davao City earlier today.

The purpose of the activity is to encourage the dwellers along the area to be vigilant and responsible for the cleanliness of the shore in which they are dwelling.

The activity was organized by BFAR XI – Gender and Development Focal Point System in partnership with the Associations of Women Fisherfolk of Brgy. Sirawan. They have collected household wastes, plastic materials, and assortment of debris that were washed ashore.

Official who joined the activity include Barangay Kagawad Eddie C. Abubacar, Brgy. Coordinator representing the Office of the Vice Mayor Sherwin Lumbayon, and the BFARMC Chairperson Panopio Odin.

Collected garbage were properly disposed through the aid of the Local Government Unit’s waste disposal management.
