Over 50 individuals participated in the 1st Online Session on International Scholarship Opportunities hosted by DA-BFAR XI on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

The virtual gathering aimed to connect aspirants with esteemed alumni who have successfully pursued higher studies abroad. The initiative seeks to provide information on various international scholarship grants to enhance expertise and contribute to the economic growth of the Philippines.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Relly Garcia, Officer-in-Charge Regional Director of DA-BFAR XI, emphasized that international scholarship opportunities go beyond academic excellence.

“They foster cross-cultural exchange, enabling individuals to broaden their perspectives and contribute to a global community of thinkers and change-makers,” Garcia said.

The session, organized by Ms. Christie Mae Ranque Balucos, Officer-in-Charge of the Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Unit of DA-BFAR XI, featured insights along with her fellow accomplished alumni of international scholarship programs. The speakers shared highlights from their academic journeys, provided overviews of Masters and PhD Programs, and offered valuable tips to excel in the application process.
