Officer In-Charge of Technology Outreach Station (TOS) for Freshwater Species in Nabunturan Maricel P. Antiga, OIC, Provincial Fisheries Officer (PFO), Davao De Oro (DDO) Rocky Sumagaysay and personnel conducted hatchery monitoring in coordination with PLGU-PAGRO, DDO, MLGU-MAGRO Personnel in the Municipality of Maco and Nabunturan, Davao de Oro last February 10, 2023.

Tilapia Hatcheries monitored in Nabunturan, DDO were L and D Tilapia Hatchery operated by Leomar Aposacas, Provincial Tilapia Hatchery operated by PLGU Davao de Oro, and Nabunturan Fish Hatchery operated by MLGU, Nabunturan, DDO.

In addition, Lidmar Tilapia Hatchery operated by Mr. Rolan Goriano located in Barangay Binuangan, Maco, DDO were also visited.

During the monitoring, the current status of tilapia hatchery operation and management, particularly in broodstock and fingerling management were discussed.
