BFAR PLEDGES NO TO CORRUPTION

DAVAO CITY--BFAR XI officials and employees pledged before the Philippine flag, reaffirming its commitment to good governance and fight against corruption. It was led by the Undersecretary for Fisheries, Commodore Eduardo B. Gongona (Ret) via online today.
In the Memorandum signed by Atty. Demosthenes R. Escoto, OIC, Asst. Director for Administrative Sevices, all BFAR employees in the Central Office, Regional Offices, and National Centers were enjoined to join via Zoom. In BFAR Davao Region, Dir. Alfeo G. Piloton led the said activity along with the few employees of BFAR XI who composed the skeleton workforce for the day.
This simultaneous national activity of BFAR was a response to the call of Pres. Duterte for a clean government through good governance, transparency, and integrity.
The flag-raising ceremony took place after almost six months since the Davao City Government implemented stricter policies on social gatherings in the City due to the looming threat of Covid-19. (IEC)
