BFAR XI launches Cash and Food Subsidy for Marginal Farmers in Fishers

On January 18, 2021, the Cash and Food Subsidy for Marginal Farmers and Fishers (CFSMFF) Program was launched at the Municipality of Maragusan. BFAR XI Regional Director Raul C. Millana turned over the vouchers to Maragusan Vice Mayor Cesar C. Colina Sr. in a short ceremony held at Poblacion, Maragusan, Davao de Oro.
The next day, January 19, the group went to Bangaga, Davao Oriental where the same program was also launched. It is noted that there were over 600 beneficiaries listed in the program, to be catered by schedule to ensure the safety of the people present and to maintain the health protocols.
In his speech before the beneficiaries, Hon. Arturo C. Monday expressed his gratitude to the Agencies that worked together to provide the timely assistance to the people.
BFAR XI is among the leading agencies implemented the Cash and Food Subsidy for Marginal Farmers and Fishers Program. This is part of the Bayanihan Law to Recover as One, signed into law by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. It aims to revitalize the country’s economy amidst pandemic.
The CFSMFF provides direct food and financial assistance. A total of Five thousand pesos was provided for each qualified beneficiary (3 thousand in cash voucher and 2 thousand pesos’ worth of rice, eggs and chicken). This is way to support the poultry farmers and rice industry of the country.
