SAAD Program Continues to Fulfill its Promise
Under the Special Areas for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) 11 through the Provincial Fishery Office-Davao de Oro led the distribution of Kitang Fingerlings yesterday, May 13 2020 to three (3) groups, namely Cuambog, Tagnanan and Cadunan, identified as beneficiaries from the municipality of Mabini, Davao de Oro.
In coordination with the local government unit of Mabini, each group was able to receive a total of 2,000 pieces Kitang fingerlings.
On its 3rd year of implementation, the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program continues to provide livelihood assistance and skills enhancement activities to its beneficiaries, particularly in the municipalities of Maco, Mabini and Pantukan.
The SAAD program aims to reduce poverty incidence in target areas and increase food production through the establishment of community enterprises and continuous provision of appropriate interventions and technical support.
Amid the COVID-19 crisis, BFAR-11 shall continue to work hand in hand with the local government units to ensure efficiency and continued productivity of the beneficiaries.
