FARMC Cluster 2 CONDUCTS YEAR-END EVALUATION

Region XI FARMC cluster 2, composed of Davao del Norte, Davao de Oro and Davao Oriental, held its year-end evaluation February 11, 2022 at Tagum City. This after previous postponement due to health restrictions. It was attended by the respective Provincial Fishery Officers, PAGRO FARMC Focal Persons, PFO FARMC Coordinators and Provincial Fisherfolk Representatives. 

Provincial Fisheries Officer of Davao Del Norte, Mr. Antolin Bongcawel Jr. welcomed the participants and gave some insights in FARMC and the creation of an Integrated FARMC, as aspired by BFAR XI Regional Director Raul C. Millana, MFT.

The participants reported their accomplishments per province. Then the evaluation of each respective action plan for 2021 followed after.

Afterwards, the formulation of the action plan for the year 2022 took place. They included the unrealized targets from the previous plan to this year’s.

In the afternoon’s session they presented their action plans after carefully identifying the issues and concern that they need to prioritize this year. Copies of their output were collected for consolidation by the FARMC Unit. The program ended with the closing remarks from Mr. Jefferson Montera, PFO Davao Oriental.
