BFAR XI CULMINATES WOMEN’S MONTH CELEBRATION 2022

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) XI culminated last March 31, 2022 through a Virtual Platform the National Women’s Month Celebration.

Emphasizing the role of women in nation-building with the theme, “Agenda ng Kababaihan Tungo sa Kaunlaran“

To build up to the Women’s Month Celebration this year with Gender and Development (GAD) Kahoot! as its main highlight and the Photo Essay Competition.

These activities aimed to heighten the employees' knowledge on the celebration, awareness and participation.

The Kahoot! was dominated by the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (PMEU). While BFAR Bato Multi-Species Hatchery and the Regional Fisheries Training and Fisherfolk Coordination Division (RFTFCD) placed second and third respectively.

The first price for the Photo Essay was bagged by the RFTFCD with the entry number 4, entitled “Nanay Elsa, Babaeng Huwaran”. The second place was from PMEU, entry number 5, entitled “Babae ka at Hindi Babae Lang”. Finally, the third placer is entry number 7, entitled “Lakas ng Kababaihan” from the Fisheries Production and Support Services Division.
