BUTYA HARVESTS THEIR FIRST CROPPING UNDER SAAD

READ: In photos are the members of the Barangay Ulip Tribal Youth Association (BUTYA) as they harvest the remaining of their first cropping of Tilapia under SAAD Program. BUTYA is a group composed of young people from Mandaya Tribe.
Their group is one of the beneficiaries of the extension of SAAD Program in the year 2021. BUTYA is composed of 46 members, all of them were residents of Barangay Ulip, Monkayo, Davao de Oro. The area is under NTF- ELCAC.
Yesterday, February 7, 2022 they harvested the rest of their first cropping. Initially they harvested 1,062 pieces of Tilapia weighing 198.2 kilos. Their second cropping will be ready for harvest in a few months. So much joy can be glanced while they reap the fruits of their hard work.
Instilling in our youth the value of entrepreneurship, hard work and discipline is the end that SAAD Project envisions. Training these young people in creating or extracting of value from the provisions will make them productive members of the society.
