The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources โ Special Area for Agricultural Development (BFAR-SAAD) Davao Region has been awarded as the Top 2 Performing Region in the Philippines for its exemplary physical and financial accomplishments in 2025, achieving an impressive 94.17% performance rating.
This distinction underscores BFAR-SAAD Davao Regionโs commitment to empowering marginalized farmers and fisherfolk through inclusive, transformative, and sustainable interventions under the SAAD Program.
The award was conferred through the Department of Agriculture โ Special Projects Coordination and Management Assistance Division (DA-SPCMAD) assessment tool, which evaluates the overall performance of regions in implementing SAAD initiatives.
In his message, Regional Director Relly B. Garcia, who also serves as the BFAR SAAD Davao Regional Focal, commended the team for their dedication and service. Dir. Garcia emphasized that this achievement reflects the regionโs continued pursuit of excellence in delivering livelihood support to rural communities.
Ms. Sharon M. Baidiango, Chief of FPSSD and BFAR SAAD Davao Regional Alternate Focal, shared that the recognition is a collective effort of implementers, partner agencies, and community beneficiaries:

During the BFAR-SAAD FY 2025 National Year-End Physical and Financial Assessment, Ms. Sharon M. Baidiango, together with the BFAR SAAD Davao Regional PMSO, officially received the Certificate of Recognition on December 10, 2025, in Zamboanga City.
With this achievement, BFAR-SAAD Davao Region further strengthens its dedication to service excellence and inclusive development as it continues to empower rural communities and advance food security.
