The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources XI (BFAR XI) successfully organized a fun run for farmers and fisherfolk as part of the Farmers and Fisherfolk Month celebration, held at Azuela Cove High Street on May 23, 2025. “𝘋𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘯 𝘈𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢 𝘒𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘣𝘶𝘢𝘯: 𝘔𝘢𝘨-𝘶𝘶𝘮𝘢 𝘰𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘵 𝘗𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘨𝘢𝘯”

The event drew a participation of around 60 individuals, comprising both fisherfolk and BFAR XI employees, who came together to celebrate the vital contributions of farmers and fisherfolk to the country’s food security and economy. This aimed to promote camaraderie and teamwork among participants, while also fostering a sense of community and appreciation for the sector’s role in the country’s development.

In a display of both spirit and speed, the following emerged as top finishers of the event:

By bringing together stakeholders in a fun and engaging activity, the fun run served as a fitting tribute to the sector’s contributions and a testament to the agency’s dedication to their welfare.
