BFAR XI inaugurated its new Gender and Development (GAD) Office on November 25, 2024. This initiative aligns with the principles of Republic Act No. 9710, also known as The Magna Carta of Women, specifically Section 22, “Right to Decent Work”, underscoring the agency’s commitment to promoting gender equality and inclusivity within the workplace.
A key feature of the newly established GAD Office is a child-minding facility, designed to support working parents. This aims to create a more family-friendly environment, enabling employees to effectively balance their professional and personal responsibilities. The child-minding facility provides a safe and nurturing space for children, allowing parents to focus on their work and other important duties.
To further strengthen its GAD advocacy, BFAR XI will host a GAD Team Building event on December 5, 2024, to enhance teamwork and gender sensitivity programs within the agency.
BFAR XI remains committed to fostering gender sensitivity and inclusivity in the workplace, creating an environment where every employee feels valued and empowered.
