o develop and enhance their written communication skills, 35 personnel from BFAR XI participated in a 2-day Training on Basic Writing Techniques held on May 20-21, 2024, at Kairos Place, Davao City.
The activity was co-organized by BFAR XI Regional Fisheries Training and Fisherfolk Coordination Division, and the Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Unit. The training aimed to improve the writing competencies of the participants. Facilitated by Mr. Geoffrey S. Marfa, PhD., the sessions covered essential aspects of writing, including grammar, diction, and verbosity.
Ms. Hannelore Arado, one of the participants, shared her impression, “For me, dako kaayo ni nga tabang ang training kay ako ang nagahimo sa mga minutes of the meetings ug nagadraft ug mga reports. Sigurado ko nga magamit nako ni sa akong trabaho (For me, this training is a great help because I am the one who takes minutes of the meetings, and drafts reports. I can definitely apply these learnings at work).”
