Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources XI (BFAR XI ) SAAD Alternate Assistant Focal Maricel P. Antiga, SAAD Area Coordinators Floramae Herda, Marklin Delos Santos, Belen D. Cesar, Clarebel R. Boyose and Special Area for Agricultural Development Information Technology Staff Christie Marie T. Edano attended the Beneficiary Needs Assessment (BNA) and IT Database Profiling Workshop in Cubao, Quezon City last February 21-25, 2023.

Ulysses J. Lustria Jr., the Special Area for Agricultural Development National Program Director, gave the opening address to the event on the first day, stressing the importance of streamlining the program’s execution mechanics to better align it with the four (4) SAAD core components: social preparation, food production and livelihood projects, marketing assistance, and enterprise development.

BNA is a social research method that utilizes both qualitative and quantitative data to strengthen and improve project planning that ultimately seeks to provide the most suited projects to the target communities. BNA opens the planning stage to carefully consider community resources, experiences, and priorities.

Even though it was a holiday, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) SAAD implementers’ week-long comprehensive workshop on the early stage of project implementation came to an end with the database information gathering and processing, as well as the Bureau’s commitment to and directions regarding communications.
